| I’m in Ambler now but Ma is still on Woodland Rd (50 yrs)so I can still hear the bell ring, across the street, at St John’s when I’m down to see her . I miss the Thriftway, Roy’s Market ,the Variety Store and the 5 O’Clock whistle ! Great site . |

| 1960-1979 Senak Rd. Worked part time at Willow Grove bowling alley and GW motor lodge both owned by Mo Hankin - remembering John and Ali the guards at the lanes. Life was a lark at Willow Grove Park (afterwards 6gun territory.) RMF-AMF get togethers in the park. Abington cops walking the beat at night on the streets when things got out of hand in the early 70’s. Great times - would not trade it for anything. |
