| Was in Port Isaac in July while the filming of Series 3 was in progress. Cant wait to see it later on TV as I am addicted to Doc martin. Love identifying the places since visiting the area. Are there any plans to show the Xmas special again ? |

Hi Amanda, I’ve been to Port Isaac (Wenn!) a few times, the last was when they were filming for the Xmas special in Septamber 06, it’s a great little village and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Looking forward to the new series, I’ve also got 1 & 2 on DVD- really cheers you up when you need it.  |

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the info about series 3, I have been trying to find out for ages when it was going to be made,I have only just come across this great website while I was searching.
Doc Martin is my favourite programme ever, I finished watching series 2 on dvd last night (I did see it on tv aswell).Martin Clunes plays the part perfectly he is a great actor it really is so funny along with the right amount of drama and emotion aswell.
I am glad to see there are other people who like it as much as I do!
I am going to visit Port Isaac in May I can’t wait !

Hello everyone;
Just to let you know that the Xmas special was shown in ITV 1 UK last Dec 25. It was a 2 hrs show. And of course I had a good laugh.
As for the Series 3, I read an interview of Martin Clunes and they will start shooting on Apr 2007.... and when ask about Louisa...he said "that things will move forward and they might be dating too"

| can anyone tell me why the original doc martin was stopped - while I just love this series his character is completely different to the original and there doesn’t seem to be an official explanation. bye the way are we sure there is going to be a series 3? |
