My husband Larry was the lucky winner of the dinner for two which you had so generously donated to the Scott Taylor book launch in April. We went to your nice restaurant and had a delicious dinner there this evening, celebrating our 50th engagement anniversay. We loved the meze and the lamb dishes and of course your wonderful baklava. We lived for three years in Izmir, and your restaurant and food brought us back there to the most happy years of our lives. We were also impressed with you lovely waitress Nejla.

Went for a visit here over the weekend. I give it a definite thumbs up!
The decor is very simple, yet classy. Real roses in a vase adorn each table. The bright red centrepiece tablecloth stood out nicely and the dishes were well themed to the restaurant.
The service was warm and welcoming. The server described the dishes with enjoyment and made suggestions. They let us linger over our tea and dessert which I enjoy. Other may not like this, but if I do want to leave I have no problem getting up and letting a server know. I don’t like being rushed out of a restaurant. That said, the resto was not full, so perhaps had it been busy we may have been hurried out more.
We ordered the Topkapý Mezeleri to share and I would like to go back just for a drink and to order that one day! Wonderful selection of different mezze with bread. I’m no expert, but it was top notch.
I cannot speak for everyone else at the table, but my meal was very good. The server recommended we go with the Chef’s specials and most of us did. I ordered Topkapý Special Kebap, which had a nice eggplant puree. The tomato sauce here is what I really enjoyed though. It reminded me of homemade italian tomato sauce. Delicious from start to finish!
Can’t say enough about the food, especially the "iskandar" with the yoghurt based sauce! Service was great too! There was free parking, in Little Italy so its a great location. We’ll be back! |

Topkapi Turkish Restaurant located on Preston street, or the Italian village, is one of the best on the strip of some 30 to 40 restaurants. The food was excellent and the service impecable. The atmosphere was great with a background of Turkish music. A great restaurant for an intimate dinner or small group of friends.
The appatizers, especially the group platter, was fresh and plenty for a group of 6. The meals were served nicely prepared with a good variety of vegetable. Highlites were the combination meal with several different meats and the lamb shank.
Superb food with great service
The service from a young Turkish server was exceptional and very friendly. She knew her menue very well, how the food was prepared and the ingredients/spices/herbs. She was very patient with us as we tried to order the meals by their Turkish names. A special touch was the white gloves as we have seen when in Turkey at expensive restaurants. Every member of the group loved the restaurant and will be returning. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such a good restaurant which is relatively unknown along a strip of Italian eateries. |

I had lunch at Topkapi today, May 10. It was a true discovery, a trip to the flavours of Turkey. The food is amazing (and I only ordered the lunch special), very fresh and cooked at perfection and the service is simply excellent. The desert (Katefe) was the best I ever had. I highly recommend it.  |

Je dois vous avouez que quand mon copin ma proposer d’aller manger turc ce soir je ne savais a quoi m’attendre. Votre restaurant nous a ete proposer par une copine a mon travail. Nous avons adorer, l’ambiance, le service d’equipe des serveuses et les grillades delicieux!!!!
Nous reviendrons tres bientot avec des amis afin de leur faire decouvrir la meilleur cuisine en ville(agneau et donair)que je n’avais jamais manger. Le backlava et le kunefe is to died for! Merci infiniment et nos compliments to the chef.

Where to start? A total of 8 (supposed to be 10); raging appetites and unquenchable thirst...The Topkapi was unbelievable in its decorum, ambiance, service and of course - its food!
We came in on a Saturday night (6 Mar 10) and stayed right to closing leaving with fond memories.
From the belly-dancer to the lovely waitress who charmed the pants off of me....I will be returning for sure...

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent meal, service and evening you provided to us last night (we were the table of 6 by the front window). Everything was consistently excellent and we were glad we followed all of your suggestions.
