My name is Matthew Harmon changed from Harman.
My fathers name is Harlan Harmon.
What is the Jewish connection if any.
There was a book written by Adam Harmon
called the lonely soldier. He fought in the
Army for Israel. Was he Jewish?
I noticed we have many Jews in CT with the name Harmon
and many in Colubmus OH with the name Harmon.
I am assuming Germany.

the death of Abraham de Moses LOPES CARDOZO, born in
The Hague in 1726 and married to Rachel ABOAB CARDOZO
in the Hague on the 9th of February 1755, she was the widow
of a Isaac SENIOR.
I can’t find their place, nor date of their death.

My maternal Ggrandmother is Anna Ottilie Philipp of Schloesschen Porschendorf married 2nd time as a widow to widower Gustav Ficker. paternal Ggrandparents are Ignatz Schoenfeld and Elise [Betti] Rosen[berg]. Thanks for such a glowing example of genealogical presentation and depth of research. |

| Fishteins came from Lithuania..My mother Sophia Pinkus,94, remembers her mother Polly Fishtein(Cannon) saying the family came from Doag,small village near Vilna (Vilnius).Miriam & the 5 young children walked to Szczecin from where they embarked for England.The men came on later.Other errors in your data...you still have a compos mentis resource alive (not me, my mother). |

Thanks to yout fabulous site I could very easily find the straight line between myself and uptill now earliest found ancestor; Patriarch Baruch( est.birth 1585)And at the same time discover where the rumour in the family (already from my grandfathers time)about using or not the addition Pardo comes from.
Baruch changed gradually to Barug in the archives. |
