I served with the WOODPECKERS / RED Falcons
(AKA; RED WOOD FALCON PECKERS) from Sept 1969 to April 1971. I was the Crew Chief on 66-16335 and 68-16213. No one has sent any pictures from 1969 - 1971. As soon as I learn how to scan I will send you some pictures from Phouch Vhin. |

11 Bravo of C 1/7, Feb 69 to Apr 70. RTO to Robert E Lee, 2nd Platoon Leader, and RTO to Capt Stillwell and Gordon Flesch. Welcome Home. 10 months in the boonies. 4 months as Company clerk writing letters home for KIAs in Quon Loi. Favorite phrase, "don’t mean nothin’" for which my wife wants to kill me each time I say it. Vietnam did mean somethin’.

Oldest daughter of Claud Murphy.
Thank you all for your service to our country. I’m sorry, in that era, our country was not so proud of our soldiers.
Thanks, Dad, it was a huge sacrific to leave a wife and seven children to serve so far away. |
