I really enjoyed viewing your sight , it really takes me back in time when life was simple! At least back then i knew where i stood in the world , i ws a door gunner on a CH 47 stationedin a little town called Chuli in 66-67 . I was treated better there ahan when i arived back in the states at washington state, The reseption was verry violent at the airport, was wishing i had never came back, but things have commed down now and back to normal tooklits of years.

Was in 1st Cav Korea 1963 when Kennedy was shot, then 1964 transfered to state 11th Air Assault Div which was later made 1st Air Cav Div. The Division 15,800 men/425 Choppers left Georgia in summer of 1965, stop in Hawaii then did beach landing at QuiNhon. Chopper in and set up base camp AnKhe 9-15-65. I was first in Division S-4 later 408 Supply/Service HQ Company. Got my discharge in Nam, only served 3 months. Left in Nov. Now reside in OHIO Best to the families of all my friends that gave it all for their country.

Great web page. I was with E/82nd Arty from May 69 to Sep 70. Arrived 67N and went to Loch Platoon as 67V. Spent time at Lai Khe, Buttons, and Quan Loi and rest of time at Phuoc Vinh. Wounded on Nov 17th along with Jimmy Jenkins at Quan Loi. Returned to unit on Dec 23rd or 24th. Wilson (Orderly Room) thought he was seeing a ghost. Jim never returned and ended up in Japan. Talked to him about 12 or 14 years ago. More info but not enough space. Went into Army Reserves as an engineer and ended up commissioned in Jun 1978 and spent 30 more years.
