My friend I too am a Veteran, A Black American Vet who am proud to have been a part of the Old Army has it were, 76-79 I never made it to the Hell that many of you great Men and many Women did, some who sadly never came home. I will never forget, I have so many friends from Nam, and Young one’s who continue to make me thank God daily for our Nation, now I’m not comin from some kinda brainwashed trip, I know for a fact that too much of our soliders blood has been shed and many nations should be thanking all of us in some way. it’s funny I’m Fifty now just this July when I was in most Cats like Willie Rucker-101st Airborne, was a seasoned Vet and even though not in war, (we were cold war troops) don’t laugh! I know the Ahhchew jokes...We were stationed in Germany doing hardsite security somewhat hidden site, (everyone knew where we were but us! anyway, if Willie heard somethin and ducked, I ducked Heck I almost became perinoid.
Today I am honored to work with both young and old Vets, God bless you all! I do miss the Military, and I was’nt a outstandin solider, just a survivor. pardon my spellin.
Bigrick

Garry Owen, Ed. I enjoyed my look around your site, and I salute you for the memories, and helping to return honor to our service. I invite those who pass here to visit "Vietnam Picture Tour, namtour.com/namtour.html from the lens and poet’s pen of a combat infantryman, from one who’s walked the walk, and can talk the talk...Take a walk in "the park" with the 1st Air Cavalry on combat patrol, that in reality will give you the sweet and sour taste of "the Nam" on your tongue, leave the pungent smell of "the Nam" acrid in your nostrils, and embed textures of "the Nam" in your brain as though you walked beside me in combat.
