Go here and scroll five trailers to the right. That is all.

You’re very welcome!

Dutch is certainly approximately a dialect of Scandiwegian. Although from this geographical perspective the influence of Hansa Low Cherman up your way is unlikely to be neglected.

I wrote ’thank you so much’ twice. And now three times. But thank you.

My god, this is incredible, Des. Thank you so much. Thirty pages of cheap Friesian horses and we get to learn Dutch while we look at them.

That’s perfect, Des. Thank you so much. My daughter spends all the time she’s not actually sitting on one looking at those advertisements of second-hand horses on Finn.no and scheming to buy one (or more). This will give her hours of fun; a whole country of cheap(er) Friesians.
Yes, stallion is ’hingst’ in Norwegian too. I reckon we could move there, no problem.

AJP, If you go to www.marktplaats.nl/ and put in "fries paard" or "friese paard" (the latter has more hits; the former is prescriptively correct; neither takes the quotes) then you can have your pick of mares ("merrie’s") for less than EUR 5k. Stallions ("hengst[en]") seem in shorter supply, but also seem to be there to be had for less than GBP 20k.

If you want a more specialist site I can probably find one, but the entire country’s second-hand sector is dominated by marktplaats.

AJP; I didn’t even know there were such things as specifically Frisian horses, rather than common-or-garden horses that happen to be in Friesland. But I shall spend some of this evening becoming an expert and report back.

Des, i don’t suppose you know anything about Friesian horses, do you? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friesian_horse I wondered if they might be cheaper in Friesland (they’re about ₤UK20,000 in Norway). Just a thought.

Madem, I’m edam.

We had very good aged gouda when I lived in Hamburg. I always assumed it was Dutch.
