Mr Klingelhofer,

I admire your positivity, which is almost palpable. That is a powerful quality, and a healing one wherever healing may be needed. (In this world, you must stay quite busy.)

Of course, music has this same quality, so I guess you’re doing a double-duty of sorts.

I didn’t give your "It’s Luau Time" bandmates their due in my last communication. Your respective contributions blended seamlessly into one harmonious, laid-back whole. That was great.

So long, and good luck to you and your merry throng,

Miss Kitka

Miss Kitka,

Thanks for the kind words, and I am glad you enjoyed the video.
I was very surprised this morning when my daughter informed me that the video was being featured on YouTube. I agree that it is unfortunate that there are some folks that make every effort to be degrading. However, I choose to look at the positive side and am happy to see so many great comments. In addition, this feature will expose many new people to the wonderful ukulele which is certainly worth the price of enduring some ill-bred and ill-mannered individuals.
So I will go on strumming with a smile on my face, enjoying listening to, writing, and playing this great music.
Mahalo,

George

Dear Mr Klingelhofer,

I was just on YouTube, and was lucky enough to have caught "It’s Luau Time" on video. Truly beautiful work, that.

I sought out your site to say so because I was so revolted by the comments I skimmed briefly on the YouTube page where the song is located. I’m new to hi-speed Internet, and so am new to "YouTube Nation".

While I am thankful for the sort of technology that can bring music like yours to my attention, I’m taken aback by the ignorance, irresponsibility, and vulgarity that seem to go hand in hand with the option of anonymous commentary.

Please keep in mind that there are people catching your videos on YouTube who are actually appreciating the beauty of what you do.

I come from Chicago’s South Side; I am now in small-town Missouri, and I mess about with bossa nova guitar. I’m going to music camp next month out west, and look forward once again to spending time basking in the light of the amazing James Hill, uke artist extraordinaire from Canada.

I love that Chicago’s caught Uke Fever!!!! Thank you and your group for spreading the island sounds in The Windy City.

I’ll be checking out the rest of your videos in due course.

In the Spirit of Brudda Iz,

Miss Kitka
