hey eddy, just pulled ur "eddy in brazil" card out of my wallet and thought id check out ur progress. sounds like ur having an awesome time over there, despite ur impoverished new family  sydneys been great, looking forward to holidays again in order to catch up some much needed sleep and quality food. it’ll be great to catch up when u finally get back...

Hey Oom Wim,
You are the veteran poster on this guestbook.
The games here are on very good times! 10am, 12noon, 4pm. School is on at the early games, but for Brazil games everyone gets let out early!
Last few Brazil games I watched in a Bar, full of people! After the game there is a huge parade in the middle of the city! It´s very crazy, and all the cars honk their horns.
I have been very very busy lately, having been to a four day music festival (biggest in brazil) in Alegre. I am in Bauru (São Paulo) at the moment visiting a friend from my school in Adelaide and when I get back I turn 18!
I promise to keep everyone up to date when things calm down.
In the mean time, I have been 5 months and 1 day in Brazil as of today.... The half-way mark of my exchange. Will post a reflection soon.

hi ed,
we saw some very good footbal from the aussies; attractive, fast, relentless.
In today’s newspaper there’s a large article about the quality of referees and the enormeous pressure they are under (multi-angle camera’s, sports commentators etc). But after the game holland-portugal and australie-italy (or australia-croatia for that matter), we both can feel unhappy with the referee. But also; there were not enough goals, so we’re out!

How do you manage to watch the games since they are playing early in the day over there. You must be at school at those times? How do the brasilians behave/party/join during the matches?, what do they think of Argentine or Germany?

how large or small  can you behave this day edgar, since you are dutch and australian and in brasil.
I’m hoping for a miracle  , but i dont know how this will work out in class next monday  ?

Hoi Edgar,
wat leuk dat je op mijn site bent geweest!! Je kamer bevalt erg goed, je spullen staan er niet meer, die heb ik op ebay kunnen verkopen....grapje!! Ik moet hier de hele tijd engels praten bij je familie, omdat Laetitia natuurlijk geen nederlands verstaat! Dus je site goed te begrijpen voor me, het engels begint wat normaler voor me te worden!
