Hi just found my name on your website, very surprised. Took me a long time to find William Richwood and his family. Alice Cory was my great grandmother, that was a nightmare to find (knew she was born in a workhouse and Islington but her name was spelt differently on her marriage cert) Anyway very impressed with all your information. Keep up the good work. |

Hi
Enjoyed your website. We probably have a common relation somewhere in the past as Coulams/Cowlams/Cowleys all feature in Muckton - sometimes as part of the same family!
I think that Ann Cowley, the wife of James Cowley in your tree must be the Cowley referred to in The Times of May 7 1872. She perished in a fire in Muckton. The paper gives some detail and is worth looking up if you haven’t seen it.

Hello, site holder. I came across your website via the the Brook Farm - GEORGE BANKS link when researching the Cragg family. Tom Craggs worked on Brook Farm, Ebberston 1901 (the family lived in the village) and interestingly, (for me), I see you have his sister Maria working there in 1891 (for info; she was born in Settrington - not Seffrington, also Kerbymisperton is Kirbymisperton).
You have obviously worked very hard on your site, thank you for sharing it with me.
Regards

| William and John Lowes came to the United States from England as young men around 1840. They settled in Michigan where they are both buried. Have been unable to link them to their families in England--hopefully will someday. Thanks for the website |

Have traced my Lowes family back to Nicolas Lowes who married Margaret Hall at Hamsterley in 1745. They lived at Stanhope.
I am sure there is a connection to the Teesdale Lowes as it is only ten miles away. We live in Middleton. Hope to find my Nicolas Lowes’ father someday. Best wishes. |

You have done a marvelous job on this web site. I may be in the WARE family part of this as my Great, great, great grandfather John WARE came to America from England and eventually lived in Iowa and is buried in Taylor County, IA. Not sure this is the correct John WARE or not. Anyway, you have a beautiful web site, well organized and easy to explore.

Hi,
Just saw your site and think it is really good. I have a big LOWE’s tree but mine are from Skelton in Cleveland and don’t think they are linked with yours. Mine start with Michael LOWE marrying Jane LEACH in 1771 in Skelton.
Feel free to email me if there is a link.
Many thanks
Happy hunting
