| I am researching my family. I have been able to trace my Maternal great, great grandparents Anderson Walls & Susan West Walls to Washington, Westmoreland County Virginia. They are listed on the 1870, 1880, 1900 census in Westmoreland County, and several family members had migrated by 1900 to Prince Georges County Maryland in an afro american town called Lakeland Maryland. I would love to find any death records, burial info, marriage info on any Wall or Walls decendants. Anderson Walls b. 1838(approx) d. 1900-1906, wife Susan West Wall b. 1842(approx.)Both should be burried in Washington, Westmoreland County Va. Any info or assistance with further research would greatly be appreciated.From 1870 -1900 they were listed on census as Wall, after 1900 correct spelling of Walls appears. doing research on my ancestor - Robert Covert (1700’s) of Westmoreland County - probably a tidewater town who later bought land on the potomac near the Smallwood park west of La Plata. Names connected with family are; Grey, Milstead, Woodyard and Smallwood. Land areas connected with family are; Goose Bay run, Stony Hill and Batchelors Hope.
He married Charity Grey who later married a milstead. their son robert (jr.) married a Woodyard.

| Looking for information regarding my great great grandparents and back. The surnames are Grissett and Cash. Both from Westmorland County and Nomini Bay/Creek area. The last information that I found was his name is Thomas H. Grissett and he married Mary A. Cash. His parents are Cyrus and Sarah Grissett and her mother was Elizabeth Cash. On the 1880 census is said that Elizabeth was her step mom. In the marriage license book it said her father was unknown.Told that we are decedents of the William Cash family of Westmorland County and would like to see where we fit in. |
