Hello Alan,
seems I’m not the only one interested in the Hartlepool Monkey - I am writing an academic paper about it - I want to know where you heard it to write your version?
please get in touch! yours FJ |

Alan, I have been trying to reach you for a while now in connection with "The Hartlepool Monkey." If you do get the chance to send me an email, it would be appreciated - then I can also tell Big Mac your whereabouts!

Hi Alan,
Loved the website! In particular, I enjoyed the Quick Tour of your Degree Show, having missed it the first time around. Hope to see you and Pat soon; love, Marga xxx |

Alan,
I came across your website while browsing through Teesside Fettlers, Ron Angel and other search references. I recall your name I think mentioned by my father, John Goodchild, who also used to work in "Work Study" at ICI and started me on my lifetime of interest in folk music with an old guitar presented at Christmas 1969 (I think!). I’m currently living in Houston, Texas and am busy introducing my band (Across the Water) to acapella and other English folk tunes - we’re currently working up a version of "Ring of Iron", and I had to explain to them about Monkeyhangers, which came up in the conversation. I must ask dad about the connection next time I speak to him. I went to Durham University too!
Cheers,
Steve |

Hi Alan,
Your paintings and drawings are great. Knew that you had put on an exhibition but didn’t realize that you had so many fantastic pictures in the collection. I’m looking forward also to your next music CD.

Nice to see you again though this time not ’in person’. It looks like we both were diverted from Art School, though for different reasons! Not sure Alan if you knew, however my brother Carl Lazzari, taught in the Fine Art Dept of the then Middlesbrough College of Art. He then moved on to bigger things in Coventry and Newcastle. He, like you, has an interest in music (classical) and art and combined these talents to ’normalise’ children traumatised & ravaged by war, particularly in Bosnia.
Should you fancy a visit to Valencia both Pat & you would be welcome. Otherwise take care. xx Trevor & Eli |
