Can it really be the end???? Kindred have worked hard to build up a loyal following in the overstuffed covers market and they really did it! They have rocked out so many unlikely venues...the Coot for one! The kids love them!! Especially in Piries Bar! But will they realise that what they do is special, cool and actual proper rocking? NO! Appears to be the answer... this great band are about to go their separate ways through lack of enthusiasm on behalf of some band members and a misconception that, in their thirties, record companies and venues are going to care about their originals! Stick to what you know best Kindred! You are too old to be the next big thing... however, you are a great original covers band with a loyal following and loads of venues dying to see you perform...are you just going to throw it all way???...Please don’t!

I don’t go to watch too many bands these days but having seen Kindred a few times recently I’ve been reminded just what I have been missing. They are a talented and unpretentious Crawley/Horsham band who clearly love their music and enjoy their performances just as much as the audience. With a mix of classic covers to sing along to and an increasing number of home grown tunes there is something to suit all tastes. So do yourself a favour, get yourself down to their next gig and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Kindred are good but need to ditch the guitarist from the singing duties as when I saw them I couldnt understand what the guy was singing!!!! The great randy Ramon owns the mic and sweeps the band along in a tidal wave of rock emotion. Do not underestamate the drummer he is true little drummer boy! The Bassist is fantastic, feel the vibe!!!!!!!! Rock on forever Rock on and on and on. Next up they must cover Timmy Mallet!!!!

Kindred are a great up & comming rock band who I have seen a few times now, the latest being at the Cowdry Arms, and they are just getting better & tighter with each gig. They are great news for the local area of Horsham & Crawley and for people like me who loves watching live bands. So go and see them...you won’t be disappointed.

I’m happy to report that the hype surrounding these guys is justified. They are speeding down the Rock Highway and they don’t seem to want to apply the brakes.
People often ask me if I am in the Rock game, I’m told my image and lifestyle suggest that I am. My response;- an enigmatic smile and a knowing wink. Lets just say that I am more than qualified to comment on the merits of new musical talent.
For me Kindred are like a stick of dynamite with a fuse fast disappearing. Catch them now before they explode onto the big time.

People often accuse Horsham of being boring so I thought I would write a post about a great time I had in Piries Bar last night;

Kindred (a four piece band) and about 100 people were packed into a bar not much bigger than an average living room. The audience ages ranged from teenagers to 50+ and Kindred played something for them all. The older music included the likes of Cream, The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix. More recent selections included pieces by Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs. The band also included some of there own material. My personal favourite though was ‘Hate to say I told you so’ by The Hives. Visually it was not quite the same without the Hives black-suited, high-kicking antics but musically it was spot on.

Thanks to Piries Bar and Kindred for a great night. We look forward to seeing you again.
