Hi, it’s a great site you have, some good tips for problem solving and helping other builders. I like the chequer plate idea, it looks great. The minor weight increase is ofset by the increase in stiffness. I’m just trying to talk my brother into going halves on one.

Hi Guys
Just finished my Rocket build and have my SVA testing coming up soon. Had an initial drive in the car to check things over and have spotted a potential SVA fail already!!
The car’s steering does not self centre at all!!!! Turning a corner and letting go of the steering wheel the wheel stays in position however it should have a degree of self centering.
Anyone out there with a rocket that has passed SVA and has any tips of getting some degree of self centering? I should add that o have installed a quick rack.

I’ve been looking at maybe getting a Rocket as my first kit car, and found your site while searching for information.
How many hours do you reckon it has taken you so far? It looks really good, and your build progress part is great for information on the problems that you had. Is it on the road yet? |
