My dad (Fernando L. Roces) is from Bicol, Sorsogon. If i can remember it right, my dad mentioned about my great grandfather who was originally from Marinduque but then migrated to Bicol. I would love to meet my relatives in Marinduque also.

There’s always a possibility that all Rocesses are related, since we have the same Last Name. The only thing was our great great great grandparents went on their separate ways, some became famous and rich, others did not. I learned that the surname Roces’ originally came from Spain. Maybe that’s the reason why most of the Rocesses are good-looking (just kidding, but true).
I am Virgilio Briones Roces of Mulanay & San Narciso, Quezon, Married to Corazon Aquino Roces of San Narciso, Quezon. My father, Jose Pineda Roces and his siblings were born in Marinduque, the name of Tina Roces Romey of Sta Cruz, Marinduque, and Pacifico Pineda Roces of Sariaya, Quezon.
I am the brother of one of the signers, Ramon "Chito" Roces who said that we don’t have Spanish blood which I can say is wrong because one of my great-auntie said that we have great great aunties that were "mestizas."
My grandfather other brother migrated to Bicol, Sorsogon and most of his descendants were in Pilar and Legazpi, Albay. Though we know some of my father’s cousin in Manila, like Mercedes (Chedeng)Roces Garcia, Cesar (Ching) Roces, Nena Roces Arevalo and Carmen (Mameng) Roces. Those in Bicol we really don’t know. I really love to hear from them and to those other Rocesses who thinks that maybe we are related.
At present, my whole family resides in Hawaii. Though there are some Roces here in Hawaii, I have’nt got a chance to meet them.

I am a Roces but positive that I am not related to the likes of Alejandro, Joaquin, Chino etc. as I know they are of Spanish origin while I am not. My roots are from Mulanay, Quezon Marinduque and Sorsogon. I’d be delighted to get in touch with the Roceses from the three earlier mentioned parts of the Phil.
