Your at the top of my list. The proker ride was the best organized rides I have ever been on. Your group was very, very friendly and more than willing to help a new person.
Thank you so much for the great ride. Please tell everyone how much all their hard work was appricated.

Its nice to see that the RRT has a webpage now, when my dad and I were members starting back in the 80’s when the club was founded there was no talk of a website . I see in the guest book there are people seeking a club to belong to, I grew up in the RRT and have alot of childhood memories they helped me learn when I was a green rider, and later through the CSHA queens competition with horseshows, parades, poker rides, trail trials you name it we did it and it was a blast plus it kept me out of trouble as a teen. I have some stories I could share but too many of the "old salty" RRT members know where I am and they would tell on me too . So keep up the good work RRT and continue to save our trails when I get back to CA I want to go for a ride.

I live and own a tack store in El Cajon, but have a friend in Norco that told me about your annual Poker Ride. Hopefully I can make to one sometime. I do most of the Poker Rides (now called Raffle Ride) around here, but would like to explore more places. Glad to see active horse owners doing group rides. Sandra, Tack N Up Saddlery

Hi, I used to ride all over Riv. co about 30 years ago. Really miss it. Just writing to warn you about an insidious USDA program called NAIS. National Animal Identification System

NAIS is a business plan made to benefit corporate ag so they can sell meat on the global market, like to Japan. But all those who own even one horse/livestock animal have beeen included. I want nothing to do with it, yet I will be expected to fund it and follow rules, in which I had no input, I think are unfair, burdensome and go against my constitutional rights.

But we are told that NAIS is about tracking disease and keeping our food supply safe....sorry, that is not so. NAIS is a business plan, says so right on the cover. The part about tracking disease was added to make it more acceptable to the public.

Besides, NAIS tracking ends at time of slaughter. Most food safety issues occur AFTER that, during processing. One of the big goals of NAIS is to shift liability to the farmers and off of the packers and retail chain. This is despite the fact that virtually all food contamination happens at the slaughterhouse and beyond. Ultimately the goal of the mega food corporations is consolidation and control by destroying the small farmers thus limiting consumer choice.

There are already disease tracking protocol in place, and they work just fine.

Agri biz gets ONE lot number per groups of animals, any one of which could be sick and who would know... while the rest of us have to tag/track every animal individually and pay for it.
see nonais.org for more info about this program that will require you to tell the govt where you go with your horse.
