.....WARNING.....!!!!! DO NOT GO NEAR THE COVE NEAR THE DAM ON THE MADBURY RESERVOIR. There is a yellow buoy tube that crosses at the narrow before the dam. Just as you cross the buoy, the ice is DANEROUSLY THIN. I know, I crossed the buoy and my machine broke through the ice. I just gassed it and made it to better ice, but barely. The water there is over 30 feet deep.
Please, "DO NOT GET WITHIN 1000 FEET OF THE DAM". Tell your friends to stay out of that area. It is not safe anymore. This buoy tube was not there last winter. |

Hi Paul Cwieka, It’s best to ask the land owner before removing anything. They’re may be a reason it’s there. Our club does not have permission to ride where ever we want, nor do you. Our current "Marked" trails are opened and not blocked.
Please Respect All land owners, if not for them letting us use they’re land, we would not have any trails.
Trail Master, Paul Morrison |

| Hi.My back yard is just off the rail road bed.I live on Oakhill road. I take the bed on my snowmobile and on foot to Calefs and beyond so the access is handy. Today I noticed a good sized log was laying in the path on the northern section of the trail. I hope it was ok to remove the log to clear the trail. Wasn’t sure if there were any rules as to what to do with the pieces.I just placed them off to the side. Hope this was ok. Alright then. Enjoy your holidays. |

Hello everyone. Almost that time of year to get the sleds out. (I know, I can hear mine rustling in the shop). But before we can ride, some work needs to done in the trails. For the most part it’s branches and brush. We do have a couple of projects that we need help with. Richardson’s pond trail needs a bridge, It’s by the brook, it just needs be put in place and add the ramps. We need a bridge put in on the trail near North River Lake. We have the deck and poles, just need a couple extra people to help set it together. We also have to re-route the trail around the Autumn Lane development near North River Lake. A couple extra people to help there would be great.
To keep the trails open takes some work. No one in the club gets paid for what we do. We also pay club dues. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, even just a couple hours. Most work will be done on weekends from mid morning to mid afternoon. I you have some time you can help or what else can be done, email me at Thank you. |

| Feel free to submit information here regarding the trails in and around Barrington, or read what others are saying before you head out for a ride. Be nice please...this is a family sport! If you just took a great ride, or found a tree down across a trail, or encountered an angry landowner, or if you just want to say THANKS to the groomer operators, please submit your comments. Any information that will be useful to other riders is welcome. |
