James, I saw your name and thought I’d send regards. Don’t know if you remember me. Your grandmother, Della, was the sister of my grandmother, Albina. Send a note if you get this as it would be nice to catch up. Regards, Leon

Hi Stings,
Spring is winding down for us. The boys and families were both here over the Easter holidays, and what a blessing that was. I made my yearly trek to the Pacific Northwest with a Conroe cousin. We had a blast. Now, I am back to the same old routine here in Spring town. Weekly trips to Bloomington are becoming an aggravation as the winds haven’t died down except for 2 weekends. Pecan groves need lots of spraying in the beginning, but the coastal breezes just don’t want to cooperate. At least we were able to continue to the deer lease even further south this weekend. Oh joy!!!!

Thank you, Shirley Meadors Weigelt. Joe Parnell and I went to see Moritz Ploss, Jr. He had moved to Houston during the summer of his junior/senior year. It was very good to see him. He’s pretty much retired, as most of us should be soon. I had to go to west Texas this week and drove through Albany. I have never seen a town that the sidewalks actually roll up when the sun goes down, but that one does.

If anyone from the Class of ’65 remembers and knows where Moritz Ploss might be now, I would greatly appreciate an email with that info. Thanks. Dan Harrell

Dee; I’ve always appreciated that you and "what’s her letter" left me only a quick "click’ away from my true feelings about Life.
I’ve had to get a few new milk bones in the mean time.
Mike

My daughter-in-law has finished the 12 weeks of chemo and radiation. The oncologist says all looks good. We will be celebrating with them this weekend. She will get a PET in 4 months, but I rest in the fact that she is in total remission. My mother-in-law has also beaten cancer after 2 and a half years of treatments. Praise God.

Hey Glo...are you talking to me yet? I know you blamed me for what those awful girls said about you (click on Gloria Byrd on the Class Roster Page). I enjoyed rebuilding the website with you after your computer bit the dust, taking the site with it. Did you ever click on David Fric or Mike Pierce? Tee Hee.
Your partner-in-crime, dee

This is the year 2010, wish all a BLESSED NEW YEAR and to say keep your dreams HIGH..Where else can you GO? It’s been the years since graduating from VHS May 1969, and been in this military off/on and to say May 2010, I have to finally let it go. I am still here in High Point, NC with the Golf Battery 230th BSG, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team and my unit will be returning from Iraq. Did not go this time around, for the young troopers. Keep the focus in life and may all the dreams, hopes, prayers, and commitments be essential to doing the very best you can do. I never complain to the DOUBTERS but I live in a nation of FREEDOM, JUSTICE, and COURAGE because we all have been through the fire, and I refused the DOUBTERS that I can, I will, and I am standing to tell, I have served you all faithfully and I WON’T DOUBT--HE’S STILL IN CONTROL-HE’S MUCH BIGGER/WIDER THAN I, AND ABOVE THE HEAVENS--STILL KINGofkings and STILL LORDoflords..GOD BLESS THE USA..
