| Jeff........My reading interest lies in history, the military and biograhies and I especially enjoy the civil war. I will read the story of georgetown you have posted, but I would probably never read a book about it.....I find it beyond tragic. of course, as much of the civil war as I’ve read, it’s pretty tragic as well. anyhow, I’m a missionary in Haiti and my off time is spent in books! i look forward in interest to see other things you may be talking about......until later, ray |

I would have drunk the lemonade.
I’ve been away from a cult for more than 20 years now and am not coping very well.

Hi Jeff -
When the helicopters arived at Jonestown I was working 3rd shift at an answering service. The description of what was below was difficult to take in. I remember hearing your name and wondered if you were the fellow I knew from Camp Wightman and Barrington College. Interesting where life takes us. I am now one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Anyway, I just reread Deborah Layton’s book Seductive Poison and reviewed it on Epinions. Comments included many links which finally left me hear. I need to reread what you have here. Good to see you again.

Dear Jeff,
I just found this blog. I was married to CHarles Huff at the time of the Jonesboro massacre. Mr. Huff was never a Green Beret. He was with the 193rd as a Sgt. Nothing more. He helped put the bodies in the caskets. Thats all. I have tried for years to get someone to realize that Mr. Huff was lying. He now lives in Timbo, Ar. HIs phone number is under Chuck Huff. He has told everyone in Mountain View that he is a big Vietnam hero. (He was never in Vietnam, either). Thank you so much for bring his lies into the open.
Sincerely,
Roberta J. Frost
(the EX Mrs. CHarles Huff) |

| Jeff, Thank you so much for all the information on this tragedy. I it a great pleasure to be one of the fortunate ones to be able to read your story. I am blessed to not have had family or friends that were there, but this must be told. We are humans and humans tend to forget after a period of time when they are not directly affected by a particular situation such as Jonestown. But do remember it happening and I do wish to share with my children and grandchildren of this horrible time.......again thanks for inviting me to your site........Always, Betty |
